NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF DANVILLE AND PLEASANT GROVE TOWNSHIPS,

The Danville Volunteer Fire Department is in need of a new "Rescue Unit".  With city and county leaders wrestling with budget constraints, the ability to afford a new Rescue Vehicle is not feasible at this time.  However, emergencies are still happening and the need to respond is still very real whether or not the budget can afford a new Rescue Unit.

With this in mind the local members of the fire department have decided to start a fund drive for a new Rescue Unit.  This will allow those citizens who want to help the fire department with a Rescue Unit that will be functional and dependable for all of our citizens, as well as people traveling through our community.

If you would like to help, you can contribute $ 5, $ 50, $ 500, or $ 5,000 dollars to help the fire department serve your neighbors with a high quality Rescue Unit.  These vehicles can easily cost in excess of $ 100,000.00, and would be impossible to obtain without the help of the community.  Many of you have had a family member receive aid at some point in time, and know how committed the volunteers of the department are to helping their neighbors.

If you would like to donate a TAX DEDUCTIBLE CONTRIBUTION to the Danville/Pleasant Grove Fire Department, simply send your check in the enclosed stamped envelope or make a deposit to the Danville Volunteer Fire Dept. Rescue Unit Account at the Danville State Savings Bank. You will be helping protect the citizens of Danville and Pleasant Grove Township now and in the future.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Fire Chief Bob Hesler at 392-4577 for more information.

Sincerely,

The Volunteers
